Bad Driving By Van Drivers Is To Be Clamped Down On

Van drivers are renowned for their un-courteous driving methods and sometimes even dangerous driving habits.

Vehicle tracking has long been a way of cutting down on this. The ways in which it can do this is by recording harsh breaking, uneconomical driving and sometimes even detecting when drivers break the speed limit.

For big businesses road safety is a real issue these days. Companies are expected to make sure their drivers are safe on the road and not just a general nuisance. It’s actually a legal obligation and it’s called duty of care. Businesses can get large fines if they are not keeping up with their legal obligations.

In addition to this most companies put their name all over the side of their vans. Bad driving done in company vans simply reflects on the business it’s self.

Some vehicle tracking devices can even monitor engine performance to pick up on mechanical faults before they become a problem.

Vehicle tracking can help businesses solve these problems and therefore tracking is now very common. BT are rumoured to have just taken up tracking on many of their engineers vans for these very reasons.
