Many customer’s are fed up of waiting around at home for a delivery to arrive, when they call the delivery company it is frustrating when those at the end of the phone are unable to assist you by telling you an exact time of delivery, meaning when the customer makes that dash to the supermarket for a pint of milk, in order to make their tea whilst waiting around, they arrive home to find the ‘we have tried to deliver… whilst you were out’ card.
With a vehicle tracking system in place you can get a real time location of a vehicle, and as long as the correct route is being followed you will be able to give the customer a closer estimated time of delivery, not the vague estimate of between 9am and 1pm etc.
This makes the customers feel like they are being looked after as much as is possible and they don’t have to sit around bored all day!
