The vehicle tracking systems will give managers and staff in general an up to the minute picture of what jobs have been completed by emailing and sending SMS messages. The system will also distribute new jobs that need doing to the staff as they are out and about on their duties.
In addition to this it will take proof of delivery on site and putting it into the central computer system.
The systems will enable Gatwick to improve customer service, safety, security and in general increase efficiency of the whole airport. Efficiency is something that is important in any business, but in an airport efficiency is particularly important and any tool that can help to improve this aspect of their operations should be adopted.
