It is a well know fact that owners are distraught when their pets disappear. A new tracking device is being produce in the name of Spotlight.
Spotlight is a small GPS system that can be attached to the collar of your pet i.e. dog. The small device is no bigger than a business card and is able to connect to satellites, keeping you updated via mobile phone of your pet’s whereabouts. The device has been programmed so that if your pet wanders out of your garden then a text message can be automatically sent to you, letting you know. Mobile phones that have internet access are able to follow the pets via a specific website.
Obviously, they have designed Spotlight so that the device has a very long battery life and is also waterproof. The device is light in weight and also has an LED light attached to it, this light can be turned on remotely, so that you can see your pet in darkness.
The price of this product may be its major let down, at $250 initial cost as well as a monthly fee; however, the company still feels that the pet lovers will accept this price to help keep their pets safe. It is being looked in to so that these devices are sold in high street pet stores and also for the Spotlight device to be sold directly from the Vets.
