Hambleton & Richmondshire District Council Take Up Masternaut Vehicle Tracking
Like many councils, the Hambleton & Richmondshire District Council have opted to invest in vehicle tracking to help improve efficiency. The council are using vehicle tracking on their fleet of street sweeping vehicles and rubbish collection vehicles.
The vehicle tracking that they installed is a Masternaut vehicle tracking system which has already started to save them money. Saving money has always been an area councils need to look at more closely and there are always room for improvements. Vehicle tracking is one way many councils have found to help them save a lot of money on wasted fuel and skiving staff.
Hambleton & Richmondshire District Council cover a large area which covers 650,000 acres. They have in excess of 90,000 bins and recycle containers to empty each and every week.
The Masternaut vehicle tracking has meant that managers now have no need to travel to various places to visit the workers as they can see where they are live on their monitors. The tracking system also makes the job of managing such a large operation much simpler and less time consuming.
All of this means big savings for Hambleton & Richmondshire District Council who like most councils is feeling the pinch of cuts to their budget.
