Often employers want to track individuals instead of an actual vehicle. This can be for a multitude of reasons, but one of the main reasons is for safety.

Lone worker tracking comes in many forms. Often tracking devices are put into mobile phones. This a great idea as most people in this day an age carry mobile phones with them wherever they go. Therefore if the tracking device is integrated into the mobile phone it does not require the user to carry extra bits of kit with them.
That said such devices as tags are quite small enough to comfortably fit in a pocket. These are usually more accurate than the devices you find in phones and have a panic button on the side so that the person carrying the gadget can quickly and easily press the button to alert their manager or co-workers if they have a problem or imminent trouble.
You can also get tracking systems which are part of a name badge. This is a clever way of disguising the device. These are very popular in the health and home visit sectors.
