Managers Had These Points To Make About Tracking
We have spoken to many managers and they had these points to make regarding GPS vehicle tracking systems installed in their fleets of vehicles.
GPS vehicle tracking systems are often met with some suspicion by drivers, but once they have been in use for a while most drivers do not mind the systems existence or even think about them. Some drivers even consider them to be useful and a help to their job and would be sad to see them go.
Managers have reported many savings of a financial nature. The managers we have spoken with regarding vehicle tracking and indeed other types of GPS tracking devices gave many different ways in which they have saved money. Many are things you would never think of and are unique to their company or particular industry.
The most common savings that have been reported are; fuel costs, time saving (time is money), over time costs, wages in general (less staff are required because there is less skiving off), insurance premiums (they are usually lower due to an increased chance of tracked property being recovered) and less ware and tear on company vehicles due to the use of vehicles only being used for work purposes.
