2 in 3 fleets still do not have vehicle tracking installed in their fleet of cars, vans or lorries. Although this figure is getting lower all the time as more and more companies install GPS tracking.
Many companies that do have vehicle tracking do not have it installed in their entire fleet. One reason given why many businesses have still not invested in tracking is due to the fact that they are unconvinced of the savings they will make and the advantages it will bring to their business.
It is true that often it is hard to measure exactly how much a company will gain from tracking systems.
Often the thing that persuades companies to get vehicle tracking is not the huge amount they can save on fuel bills or the advantages of being able to operate more efficiently, but the benefits of being able to keep tabs on their staff.
Keeping tabs on staff appears to be a big concern for companies but this is only one advantage out of many for installing GPS vehicle tracking systems.
As more and more companies get tracking the rest will more than likely follow like sheep as they believe if everyone else has it then we should too.
