Back in April 2009 one of the industries leading Fleet Tracking Systems ‘Quartix’ announced that they will be launching a ‘pay as you go’ product for the ever growing tracking industry. Many businesses will welcome this new way of purchasing a tracking system.
It is becoming harder and harder for businesses in the current climate, to purchase a tracking system as most of the devices are purchased on a finance basis and many finance companies are reluctant to loan out money at this present time.
‘Quartiz’ will be looking to offer 3 packages using this ‘pay as you go’ options from the basic route planner/tracker to the more involved devices, all of which will require a 3 month contract but no notice after this to cease the contract.
This is a great opportunity for those fleet companies that are out there who want to install vehicle tracking systems but are unable to obtain the finance to do so. It is also offering the tracking industry to carry on going from strength to strength as more people can afford to install the systems.
It would be great for all those fleeting businesses, if more companies could offer a ‘pay as you go’ service.
It now remains to be seen whether this type of payment will storm the market or whether othe companies will be extremely close behind with these new payment options.
