Robert Bakery which is an old established bakery delivering pastries and bread throughout the United Kingdom. Roberts Bakery have 70 vehicles to track. The GPS vehicle tracking enables the company to view who is driving each vehicle at any one time, live. In adition to this they can also look back at this information due to the fact that it stores this information.
The logistics manager was of the opinion that the vebhicle tracking system is helping them to increase customer service and manage their fleet of vehicle much more efficiently than they did previously to getting the vehicle tracking.
The company also use routing and scheduling software by Paragon. They are now intending to sync the vehicle tracking system with the Paragon software to enhance the efficiency of their operations even further.
The tracking system they have is by Masternaut and Masternaut also offer a module to add to the vehicle tracking system which enables you to track idling of vehicles as well as emissions caused by the vehicles. This module is called GreenerFleet and Roberts Bakery are considering adding this module as they look at how they can lessen the environmental impact their fleet have.
