Satellite Maps With Vehicle Tracking

Vehicle tracking application these days often use Google Maps or Bing Maps to display the location of the vehicles you are tracking. Both Google Maps and Bing Maps have satellite views.

You may ask what the point of these are apart from being a nifty little gadget, but these can in actual fact be a very useful tool when viewing the location of your vehicles.

For example if your drivers are out and about and you see them in a part of town or area you do not recognise then you may want to take a close look at this area. With Bing you can use satellite views or birds eye view. On Google maps you can use satellite view or street view. These will be useful to tell you the type of area it is, residential or industrial. This kind of information can be very useful if know or believe your drivers are driving to places that are un-work related.

It can also be useful if you need to see what your driver is seeing. Say he is not sure what part of a street he is delivering to. You can view it as well and give him a helping hand. This extra information can be of great use to you in many ways.
