Speeding Ticket – Get Let Off Scott Free

Most drivers or at least a considerable percentage of them have had a speeding ticket at sometime. Most of us were just a little bit bitter about it and wish you could get let off without having to pay the fine or get points on your license. Others swear blind they were not speeding at all.

Well here is a story of a man who got caught doing 61mph in a 50mph road. He was one of those who was sure he was within the speed limit and therefore got in touch with Navman Wireless who were the manufacturers of his vehicle tracking to see if they could prove that he was in fact within the speed limit. Guess what, they could prove it and the IT director of Navman Wireless even went to the trouble of going to court to testify as such. Navman wireless proved that his vehicle was in actual fact only doing 48mph. It is a classic case of technology competing with each other. In this case the vehicle tracking system won.

This story has been in the press quite a bit and it is great promotion for Navman Wireless but it also shows how sophisticated tracking is.
