Tracking For People With Alzheimer’s
Tracking technology is now being used to setup safety zones for people with Alzheimer’s patients. This new tracking system is specifically designed for patients with Alzheimer’s who may wonder off and get lost due to the illness. The system enables your family to keep track of you wherever you and if you go outside of a predetermined area for more than a certain period of time then it will alert family members by email and text message.
This is incredibly useful for family members and enables them to keep tabs on family members with Alzheimer’s and relieve some of the pressure of knowing where they are at all times.
This is a great new use for GPS tracking technology and will no doubt become very popular for care workers who look after people who suffer from Alzheimer’s.
The device that tracks the sufferer can be worn as wrist band or for early suffers a device can just be fitted to their car.
The device is fairly affordable and in America the costs are $43 a month with a $45 setup fee, which I think is a very reasonable cost.
Alzheimer’s association is very enthusiastic about this new tracking device and feels it will help many millions of families.
