Tracking Heavy Construction Equipment

The American based company T M Fleet has this month launched a brand new tracking device. This tracking devices, named HE 1100 is used to track heavy equipment, such as Tractors, Bulldozers, Diggers and other heavy machinery.

T M Fleet has said that the device which was launched on 7th August 2009 allows companies to track their equipment and give an exact location within a range of approximately 1.8m round. Even if the thieves were to hide the vehicle, the signal should still pick up allowing it to be found and still in one piece. The equipment is tracked using a web based system.

The rise in the theft of large construction equipment has enabled companies such as T M Fleet to market products such as the HE 1100. These products, although they may seem slightly expensive to start with, can help construction companies save thousands and thousands of pounds in pay out for lost equipment.

Systems such as this are good for hire companies, as they will be able to monitor where their machinery or equipment is at all times and will also be able to track the equipment should it get stolen off of the construction site.

With the HE 1100, the owner of the equipment will automatically be alerted via text message should the vehicle be moved from its location with the engine not running.
