Vehicle Tracking Being Used To Catch Speeders

As we have said before here at VTS, GPS vehicle tracking systems can be used in the fight against persistent and reoffending speeding drivers.

For example Cybit has just released its road speed reporting device. It’s called the leetstar-Online Duty New Speedsafe and it basically gives managers a daily report on employees who are speeding. It’s a great way of cracking down on the drivers who insist on breaking speed limits on a frequent basis.

You may ask yourself why do managers care a less whether their drivers speed. After all its the driver that gets the speeding ticket and if they speed maybe they will get to the destination quicker. In the past many managers have put pressure on drivers to go quicker and in a roundabout way encouraged speeding. Nowadays things are changing. With health and safety a big thing these days there is pressure on managers to make sure that their employees drive safely. Therefore GPS tracking that can help them enforce safe driving is always a desired and helpful tool.

The Speedsafe product gives points to drivers based on speeding infractions so that managers can get an overall picture on driver safety at the end of the month.

This product is not a standalone product, but an addition to the Fleetstar-Online’s Duty of Care solution.
