China has a thriving vehicle tracking industry and they are confident this will grow as emerging markets such as South America and India have a growing demand for vehicle tracking systems. Many Chinese vehicle tracking companies feel that these emerging markets are where a lot of their growth will come from.
At the moment Taiwan produces a lot of the tracking devices that are purchased in South America and India, but they have much higher production costs than China and therefore going forward they probably do not have the competitive edge on price.
China are also looking to expand their market share in Europe and North America where there is a huge potential for growth.
In the future will China become one of the main suppliers of vehicle tracking systems or will there be any other countries which will give the Chinese a run for their money. Some think that India will become more competitive in the electronics market in general, but only time will tell whether this will be the case.
