Vehicle Tracking In India
Vehicle tracking was first used in India in 2002 by the defence. It was soon taken up by industry as has been a commercial success. Because India is a large country it is a very useful tool to keep track of fleets that often have to travel long distances. The growth of vehicle tracking in India is around an average of 30% a year.
As India is soon becoming one of the richest and more industrial nations in the world such things as vehicle tracking will help them to make them much more efficient. Unfortunately there are some major problems with GPS vehicle tracking in India.
Often the telecom networks that are essential for the tracking to work are not terribly reliable in India. This is due to India being so large and therefore not all of the country has very good mobile coverage.
What this means is that the data is not complete which defeats the whole point of getting vehicle tracking in the first place. Once India manages to solve these problems GPS vehicle tracking systems will grow far more in popularity as they will be of a lot more use to businesses.
