In a study done on vehicle tracking companies, more quotation requests were made in Yorkshire in the last 12 months than London. Businesses made quotation requests in Yorkshire than anywhere else in the country. London came second.
The study did not separate the different counties that make up Yorkshire, but took the area which is traditionally considered Yorkshire. Before Yorkshire was spilt into several counties it was the largest county in the country. This mixed with the fact that Yorkshire is quite industrial is probably why vehicle tracking is so popular in this part of the country.
There are many wholesale and manufacturing businesses in the area and these type of businesses traditionally have fleets of vehicles. Fleets of vehicles means an opportunity for vehicle tracking businesses to sell their product.
Other counties that get large numbers of quotes include Essex, London, Lancashire and Staffordshire.
