Vehicle Tracking Your Kids

Would you as a young driver like to be tracked by your parents? Well recent reports show that 20 year old student; Jonathon Fisher has invented ‘Speed Demon’, a device that works like a vehicle tracking system by alerting parents if the car their child is driving is being driven dangerously.

The device allows parents to set maximum speed limits; and they will be able to check the location of the vehicle at any given time by sending a text message or e-mail. The inventor has however, still provided for privacy as the parents can only get the location of the vehicle should it be driven dangerously or at high speed. Jonathon also insists that the device will be used to ‘promote road safety’, as if not stuck to, parents will not let their child drive the car.

They are hoping that the device will cut the number of road deaths of young adults and reduce insurance premiums. The added fear factor of driving a parent’s car should help in increase the child to drive responsibly.

The possibility that this device is fitted in to all new cars sold in the future is realistic, as the police being able to track your exact location could prove to be irresistible to governments.

Many youngsters will be happy to drive a car with this device fitted if they had to choose between driving and not driving.
