Winning New Business Thanks To Vehicle Tracking

Yes that’s correct. When we were asking different companies that had introduced vehicle tracking and had lived with it for the past 12 months, a considerable number of them thought it had helped a great deal in securing new contracts.

Many of them were surprised but realised that this was a great selling point. Many clients are concerned about security of their products and also were just generally impressed by the professional edge the vehicle tracking systems gave their haulage operations.

Another big factor of introducing tracking is that it helps to keep costs down. These savings can in turn be passed onto the customer, which can help to win new contracts for haulage companies. In an industry where costs play a big factor on all sides of the business, this is really important and give a haulage company a big competitive edge.

One haulage company boasted that they had lowered the number of trailers they by 8.2% or 30 trailers as a direct result of installing vehicle tracking into their fleet.

Staff no longer needed to phone up drivers throughout the day as they could easily find out where they were by simply looking it up on the PC. These type of advantages all make for a smoother operation and the ability to show potential new customers that you run a tight ship.
